When did Chimney Tops stop being a campground?

We just discovered Big Creek Campground and thought it was awesome! (Thanks, Bear Paw) We were wondering when Chimney Tops stopped being a campground and why it's just a picnic area now days. I recall some people remember camping there and maybe could tell me the reason. If you're not a camper or not lucky enough to get one of the 12 campsites, they have a really nice picnic area. If you're looking for an area not real busy, that's the place!

I noticed you're from Indiana. Do you enjoy genealogy? Have you ever visited the genealogy center at the Allen County library in Fort Wayne? I've heard great things about it, but have never visited.

Hi Debbie, I see you are from Walland. I'll be in Walland Saturday at the annual Huskey Reunion on the old homeplace. I added a photo of Lewis Huskey, my g-grandfather's house before it burned in the 60's. His brother Stephen's cabin is still standing on E. Miller's Cove Road, but unfortunately it is no longer in the family.
