Three heavy traffic areas of the park closed at the SAME time. This will probably frustrate some people. Or maybe finally spur people into discovering places like Big Creek and Deep Creek.

Sorry for being slightly off topic - but someone told me once that people who work in the Smokies go to Big South Fork National Recreation Area to escape the crowds and that it is like the Smokies used to be before it was the nation's most visited park. So, I'm intrigued enough to think about a planning a trip there sometime, perhaps in the fall when the leaf-peepers inundate the GSMNP. Anyone ever been there? I know Al has.
